Online Return Policy


  • Where to return: Online purchases must be returned using this website. Sorry, but we CANNOT accept online purchases at our Cafe.

  • Item condition: All returns should be in new, unused, unwashed, unworn condition.

  • Receipts: Valid purchase receipts must be confirmed prior to processing your return.

  • Wrong or defective items: Wrong and defective merchandise are returnable by mail within 30 days of the original purchase date for original payment (including shipping).

  • Showing us the issue: We require clear photo uploads (see return form) of any specific defects or wrong products to process your return request.

  • Refund payments: Are issued in the form of your original payment or store credit, your choice.

  • What’s refundable: Defective and wrong item returns are refundable. Any additional shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • Free return cap: We provide our customers three (3) free item returns per calendar year (note: not 3 free returns).

  • All additional returns: Are for store credit only (*except defective and wrong item returns). Shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • Customers returning for a third time or more: Will receive store credit for the cost of the returned item(s). Shipping costs cannot be refunded.

  • Return shipping fees: Will be refunded only if we sent the wrong item, or if the item sent is defective. Shipping fees are otherwise the responsibility of the customer.

  • Return processing: Please allow up to 14 days to process your return request, which depends on the item(s) and other factors.

  • International return fees: Due to the costly nature of shipping abroad, international returns will be shipped at the customers' expense.

  • Sale items: All sale items are final and not eligible for return.

  • Return exceptions: Original artwork, and vintage goods (aka “lost & found”) items, are not eligible for return.

  • Holiday Returns: will be extended to 60 days for items purchased 11/15 - 12/15.

Other circumstances: There are certain times where exceptions can be made. If you have an issue with a return that is not clarified above, please email us at returns@sunbirdcapecod.com. We will respond ASAP and will do our very best to help if we can.

International: We currently do not sell internationally on our website. This may change! In the meantime, we are happy to try and accommodate international order requests when and how we can. Please email us what you are looking for here: hello@sunbirdcapecod.com and we will be in touch ASAP.
